About Us

Here's something we noticed early on: the moment a child stops having fun, they stop learning. It doesn't matter how brilliantly designed the toy is, how many skills it's supposed to build, or how many parenting blogs recommended it. If it isn't joyful, it's just furniture.

That one observation is what Seraphina is built on.

Play First. Learning Follows.

There's a tendency in educational toys to front-load the learning. Flashcards. Number grids. Alphabet drills. And while the intention is right, the execution often misses what young children actually need: a reason to engage.

Children aged 0–5 are wired to learn through play. It's not a preference — it's how their brains work. The research on this is overwhelming. What's less talked about is the flipside: if a "learning toy" feels like work, children disengage faster than with any regular toy. You've spent more, and they've learned less.

Our approach is different. We design the play experience first — the textures, the colours, the activities that make a child reach for the toy again and again. Once that engagement is there, the learning follows naturally. A child practising zipping and buttoning on our Life Skills book isn't thinking about fine motor development. They're just having fun. The development happens anyway.

This isn't a marketing angle. It's the core design principle behind every product we make. If the child doesn't love it, we go back to the drawing board.

Who We Are

Seraphina was born out of a simple frustration: the best educational toys in the world weren't designed for Indian children. And the toys designed for Indian children often weren't good enough.

We set out to change that. Today, we're proud to have reached over 1,10,000 families across India and around the world — through our website, Amazon, and other platforms. We started as a small brand with a single quiet book and grew because parents kept coming back, and kept telling other parents.

Every product we make carries the BIS certification and ISI mark — India's Bureau of Indian Standards certification for child safety. Not because we had to, but because anything going into a child's hands needs to earn that trust. We test our materials, we check our fastenings, and we stand behind our products.

What We Make

Our range covers the two most important windows in early childhood development:

0–2 years — Sensory fabric books, high-contrast visual toys, soft activity cubes, Indian mythology cloth books (Ramayan, Baby Krishna), and teethers designed to soothe and stimulate simultaneously.

2–5 years — Montessori busy books covering life skills, numbers, shapes, professions, and friendship. Wooden learning boards for alphabet and counting. Educational role-play sets. Everything built to support the natural curiosity of a preschooler who wants to do everything themselves.

All materials are non-toxic, child-safe, and durable enough for the kind of enthusiastic use only toddlers can deliver.

A Note on the Name

Seraphina means Angel. We chose it deliberately — because that's exactly what children are, and exactly the spirit we want every product to carry. Something that watches over, that nurtures, that brings light into the room. It's a name that reminds us every day what we're actually building these toys for.

If you have questions about which product is right for your child's stage, we genuinely love these conversations. Reach out anytime.
